The Dawn of a New Era

Last Sunday we had the Stake Presidency in our Sacrament meeting. The Stake President got up after the Sacrament was passed and started his talk by stating we have a great ward and bishopric. He also stated that now that its a new year we have many opportunities to expand and grow. Then he said that by the authority of the First Presidency he will dissolve the Park 11th ward. Then he released  everyone. It was very sudden. very few people had any warning, so the news was kind of hard to take. The Stake President then left time for testimonies and needless to say, that Sacrament meeting went longer than any Sacrament meeting I have been to. When the Stake President made the announcement I was very sad, but it wasn't until he released me that I started bawling. I was so depressed that without warning I no longer had a calling. Our baby boy was blessed today. Here is the blessing that was given.

Andrew blessed our son today. Here are the words of his blessing. Our Father in Heaven. We come before thee this Sabbath day, by the authority of the Melchizedek priesthood, which we hold, to give this boy a name and a blessing. Father, this child's name is Peter Ray Townsend. Peter, you are surrounded by men who hold the priesthood, who have honored that priesthood, and kept themselves worthy so that they can serve others with that priesthood, and they'll watch over you, even after we have left the Earth. Peter, you are a prince, an heir to the kingdom of God. You have a strength and a will to grow that has exhibited from the moment you came to Earth. You've been a light to the lives of everyone that has met you. Our daughter was blessed

 We were surprised to be pregnant again in 2025, and even more surprised when it was a little girl. After she was born in October, we excitedly looked forward to her blessing. We gathered together on December 28th with family at a small gathering place in Lehi, UT.  Andrew blessed her. Here are the words of the blessing. Our Father in Heaven, we come before thee this sabbath day to bless and give a name to this new member of our family. The name that she shall be known by on the record of the church is Margaret May Townsend. Maggie, we are all very excited to have you as a part of our lives. We're happy for your joyous demeanor, your happy smiles, and positive attitude.
